FOMECC Peru: The First Cultural Enterprises Fair of Huamanga, Closure of the First Phase of the Project

On 15 January, cultural and creative companies incubated in the FOMECC Peru project participated in the first fair of cultural enterprises of Huamanga. 15 entrepreneurs presented their products and services, ranging from jewelry to audiovisual. Two days earlier, some of them had participated in the exhibition "Expo Produce-Ayacucho 2012", opened by the Ministry of Production. On that occasion, FOMECC Peru had its own information stall. The first phase of this project was almost completed with these two activities. Interarts' manager, Antonio Gucciardo, travelled to Peru to take part in these events; to participate with the Municipality of Huamanga, the project's local partner, in the closing activities of the project, as well as to meet senior institutional decision-makers both in Huamanga and Lima, which allowed to discuss the continuity of FOMECC Peru and Interarts' activities in general. He met José Urquizo Maggia from the Ministry of Production; Christian Wiener, Director General of Cultural Industries of the Ministry of Culture; and the Deputy Director for Culture of the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima. Interarts' FOMECC programme is supported by AECID
