Conducted by Österreichische Kulturdokumentation, this new study shows for the first time that EU funds for regional development in Austria are making an essential contribution to art and culture and are supporting the creative industries. The report is authored by Veronika Ratzenböck, Anja Lungstraß and Xenia Kopf, and also involves Elisabeth Ponocny-Seliger for statistical data, and provides a detailed set of data on arts, culture and the creative industries in the range of the European Union 2007-2013 programming period for structural and regional funds in Austria. The study includes an analysis of general and specific documents with regard to the significance of culture, as well as recommendations based on the outcomes of the study.
