In its recent report on cultural and creative industries in Spain, the Ideas Foundation has declared that the field of cultural and creative industries has become a strategic sector in Spain, due to its capacity to boost economic activity and employment. The report, carried out by Javier Bonilla, director of the Department of Cultural Industries of the Ideas Foundation, Reyes Maroto, senior researcher of the foundation's Department of Economics, Sustainability and Welfare, and Casilda Cabrerizo, research assistant in the area, lists the main factors on which the enormous economic potential of the sector lies, including cultural and linguistic wealth.
