Last Activities in Ayacucho to close the FOMECC Peru Project

The first phase of the Promotion of Cultural and Creative Industries in Ayacucho, Peru, project will finish in December 2011. Among the most important results there are the creation of a training programme and information tools on local cultural context, the training provided to 121 teams of entrepreneurs in order to consolidate their production and marketing activities or the creation of cultural entrepreneurs’ directory. From 7 to 13 November, Interarts’ team members travelled to Ayacucho to meet the technical team and the Municipality of Huamanga, project counterpart, in order to assess the project’s achievements. The initiative, supported by AECID, will conclude with cultural industries fair where cultural entrepreneurs will present successful experiences and which will be organised from 10 to 11 December. The event aims to be a practical sales exercise for entrepreneurs. As well the participation of institutions having mayor interest in these cultural goods and services representing Ayacucho cultural identity is expected. More information about FOMECC Peru.
