On 22 October the seventh training session of FOMECC Senegal concluded with the graduation ceremony, attended by Racines Senghor, Director of the Office of the Minister of Culture. This time the training was addressed exclusively to women: 15 female cultural entrepreneurs from Senegal and Mauritania attended the workshops. Thus the programme aims to strengthen women's leadership in this sector, taking account of the specific impact that this can have on communities at large. The 80-hour training course focused on questions such as the design and evaluation of cultural projects, financial management, cultural marketing and search for partners. The Programme for the Promotion of Cultural and Creative Industries in Senegal, FOMECC Senegal, is an Interarts initiative developed in collaboration with the Association des Métiers de la Musique du Senegal and supported by AECID.
