The Institute of Culture of the City of Barcelona (ICUB) will organize the International Meeting of Art Factories, Factorial Barcelona from 29 to 31 October in Barcelona. The event aims at becoming a regular meeting point for debate and exchange of art factories in Europe. This first edition has been prepared with the collaboration of the Barcelona network of art factories and of Interarts. Factorial Barcelona will showcase examples of existing art factories and it expects to support the further development of existing networks. Governance, mobility, social return, infrastructures, finance and communication are some of the issues that will be discussed throughout the Meeting, in both plenary sessions and workshops; these have been conceived as working sessions from which concrete working and policy proposals should be put forward.
