'Strategic Management in the Arts' is the title of a recently-published book (Routledge) in which researcher, consultant and lecturer Lidia Varbanova has reviewed the existing theories and models of strategic management and then has related them specifically to cultural organisations. The book seeks to contribute to the fact that many cultural organisations have not applied strategic management yet, although this is an essential element that drives an organisation's success. The author has structured the book to guide readers systematically through each element of a strategic plan, and has included key questions and examples of international cases, including Interarts, to connect theory with practice.
