Bientôt disponible en français. On 15 February a meeting was held in Brussels, Belgium, as part of the project 'Culture and arts supporting social cohesion in Latin American cities - LAIC'. It was attended by Toni Cots, LAIC coordinator; Conrado Uribe, LAIC non-key expert and member of the scientific committee of the exhibition, and curator Antonio José Guzmán and the BOZAR team, the organisation implementing the project along with Interarts. The aim of the meeting was to agree on matters (set design, production, budget) relating to the exhibition to be held at BOZAR from 19 May to 31 July 2017 and which entails the final phase of LAIC. The exhibition will showcase works and documentation by artists and groups from Latin America and Europe, many of whom have already participated in some of the LAIC activities (including LAALvaca, Bijari, The Fire Theory, EscueLab, La Ciudad Verde, Método Salgari, Basurama, Historias Grabadas, Cine de Plano, Deúniti and GrisPerú) and a few who will be taking part for the first time. The piece related to LAIC will be the outcome of the work and process developed through the five nodes defined for the project and linked to as many cities in Latin America: Lima (Peru), Medellin (Colombia), San Salvador (El Salvador), Curitiba (Brazil) and Puebla (Mexico). Starting with the work launched at the 'UrbanLab' workshop (Medellin, Colombia, November 2016), each node has continued to develop its own project around the LAIC themes, which key aspects of Latin American life: memory, learning and education, mobility, violence, sustainability and resilience.
