La culture prend de l'envol aux EDD17

Bientôt disponible en français. The European Development Days (EDD17), a meeting organised by the European Commission to gather key players in international development cooperation and to facilitate information and experience sharing to guide EU policies to combat poverty, took place on 7 and 8 June in Brussels, Belgium. Interarts participated in EDD17, seeking to help to highlight the role of culture as an essential factor in development projects. To do so it had a stand on the theme of 'The value of culture' and activities including three pop-up presentations on each line of action that Interarts is currently running: culture and urban development, based on the example of the LAIC project; culture and health, from the DECIDES Programme; and culture for development in the Southern Mediterranean, from the projects SouthMed CV and SouthMed WiA. The presentation dedicated to the LAIC project counted with the participation of Toni Cots (in the photo), project manager, and Conrado Uribe, LAIC expert. Finally, Interarts' contribution to the EDD17 also entailed co-organising the session 'Investing in creativity: the future is now', participating in the session 'We Meet', and screening artistic videos by some of the LAIC creators on the EDD Cinema.
