Prepared by UNESCO and PNUD, the 2013 edition of this report was published in November. The report highlights the impressive growth rate of sectors linked to the creative economy sectors as well as emphasizes its highly transforming power in relation to income generation and job creation. It also collects a series of examples from different countries that support this statement. The report highlights the significant non-monetary value of this kind of activities and their contribution to inclusive social development and understanding between cultures. Finally, the publication presents some key recommendations with a view to forging new cultural pathways to development.
