From 21 to 23 November, in Dakar, took place the seminar about the situation of cultural professionals in West Africa. The event was organised by the Spanish Cooperation in Senegal, in collaboration with the Association de diffuseurs artistiques et festivals du Sénégal (ADAFEST) and FOMECC Senegal. The aim of the seminar was to support the initiative of the Senegal’s Ministry of Culture, Gender and Quality of Life, which is currently designing a draft bill on the status of artists and cultural professionals and the social security systems. Such approaches will provide a legal framework for promoting professional activities of cultural entrepreneurship.
