The VIth Cultural and Creative Industries Forum organized by the Fundación Santillana and the Fundación Alternativas in Madrid on May 22 convened publishers, authors, booksellers, artists, producers and theatre and dance impresarios, music promoters, film exhibitors and professionals in the cultural sector in general to analyze the current situation of this field in Spain. The day was structured around different thematic sessions; Eduard Miralles President of the Interarts Board participated in the panel dedicated to the European networks of cultural industries. The meeting highlighted the main problems of the sector, including the rise in VAT and the non-compliance by the State of the majority of the European regulations.
