New #ConectaKultura Website

From 27 to 29 April, Atlixco (Puebla, Mexico) hosted the first #ConectaKultura training forum, an action initiated by Mexican organisation CLT Consultores in the context of the "Strengthening Creative Capacities and Social Cohesion of Young People in Argentina, Brazil and Mexico" project, coordinated by Interarts. The project is supported by the Spanish Agency of International Cooperation for Development (AECID) with the objective to foster and to strengthen the participation of marginalized young people in cultural life as a generator for social cohesion and local development through three key issues: the development and exchange of local experiences, networking and search of advocacy at political and institutional level. The design of the project's activities, which will be carried out in Argentina, Brazil and Mexico until the end of 2012, is also based on the conclusions of the “Report on the Access of Young People to Culture in Ibero-America” published recently by Interarts and Proyecta Cultura. The Atlixco Forum offered spaces for training and discussion on cultural rights, gender and creative entrepreneurship and will be followed by similar actions in Oaxaca and México DF. In the context of this first activity the #ConectaKultura Website was launched.
