The FOMECC Portal, which disseminates the activities held in the context of the FOMECC Programme (Promotion of the Cultural and Creative Industries) as well as broader information about this sector, has recently broadened its services through the launch of a social network for like-minded organisations. Christened FomeccNet, the network aims to become an exchange space for members to share comments, calls, events, projects, etc., in order to foster mutual enrichment from both an academic and a practical perspective. Ultimately, online collaboration should lead to 'physical' collaboration, including the development of joint projects. The launch of the network has been supported by the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports.
