LAIC project: UrbanLab workshop reports

Memory, education and learning, mobility, violence and resilience, and sustainability are the topics of the five themes that make up the LAIC project. Arts and/or culture organisations from five Latin American cities came up with various creative proposals for urban development linked to these five themes from 15 to 19 November at the UrbanLab workshop (Medellin, Colombia). The reports on the work carried out are now available in Spanish: theme Education/Learning, led by Escuelab (Lima, Peru); theme Memory, led by Colectivo LAAL vaca (Puebla, Mexico); theme Mobility/Accessibility, led by Centro BijaRi (Curitiba, Brazil); theme Resiliency/Sustainability, led by Colectivo La Ciudad Verde (Medellin, Colombia); theme Violence/Reconciliation, led by The Fire Theory (San Salvador, El Salvador). Work on these reports will be ongoing until the official presentation at Bozar (Brussels, Belgium) in May 2017. 'Culture and arts supporting social cohesion in Latin American cities-LAIC' is a project developed by Interarts (Spain) and BOZAR (Belgium) and funded by the Directorate-General of International Cooperation and Development, Regional Programmes for Latin America and the Caribbean (Unit G2) of the European Commission.
