Forum on Cultural Entrepreneurship and Innovation FOMECC Urabá

Cultural entrepreneurs of the Colombian region of Urabá, the general public and local institutions such as the Management Office for Urabá of the Government of Antioquia, the Mayor's Office of Apartadó, Comfama, Comfenalco, Corbanacol and Fundaunibán met on 21 March in this forum held in Apartadó, in the framework of the FOMECC Colombia project which is developed by Interarts and the Faculty of Arts of the University of Antioquia. The event brought together over 200 participants and, among other issues, presented achievements and challenges of the recently created Urabá Cultural Network and the experience of FOMECC Colombia in this region, which seeks to generate new areas or coexistence and decrease violence-enabling factors by promoting dynamics of cultural change and support for cultural entrepreneurship. The event also involved an exhibition of products and services of cultural entrepreneurs in the region as well as a mini rock concert. The FOMECC Programme is financed by the Spanish Agency of International Cooperation for Development (AECID).
